UT-based Cascata Packaging (http://www.cascatapack.com) completes its multi-million-dollar plant expansion to triple tear-top pouchmaking operation and launch its proprietary hot-fill, lap-seal, vertical stick pack filling line. The increase in capacity further positions Cascata Packaging as the premier contract manufacturer focused on hot-fill processing of liquid, juice, gel and puree products.

Cascata’s expansion is reportedly the only flexible-package contract manufacturer in the country to offer all four of the highest-demand, single-serve, flexible pouch options: tear-top, spouted pouch, juice pouch with straw, and vertical stick pack.

Asher Cameron, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, says, “Some of the Nation’s leading retail brands have chosen to partner with Cascata for its diverse product offering and process capability. Cascata currently manufactures brands that are widely-distributed, including at retailers Wal-Mart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Kroger, and CVS. We are particularly excited about our most recent expansion as it will enable Cascata to better serve the network marketing industry with the higher production volumes and quality it requires.”

Bryan Wright, CEO and co-founder, adds, “With the recent investments to expand our operation and add new capabilities, Cascata continues to strategically grow with our customer base while opening capacity to bring on new products and brands. In the past three years, we have seen a significant shift in consumer demand for food, beverage, and dietary supplements in flexible packaging. Our triple-tube, in-line pasteurization, coupled with our air-driven cooling tunnels makes our process capability unique in its quality and performance. Few operations can match our high standards in protecting taste, texture, and nutrient composition while filling preservative-free. Seventy-percent of our customer base has expanded their product lines with new flavors and pouch formats since they partnered with Cascata. It’s exciting to see our capabilities serve as a catalyst for growth as our customers expand their offerings.”

Since Cascata began full-scale operations in January 2017, the company continues to quickly grow at an impressive rate, resulting in being recognized by the Mountain West Capital Network (MWCN) as one of Utah’s Emerging Elite companies (https://www.mwcn.org/utah-100/). In discussing Cascata’s success, Bryan Wright provided additional insight, stating, “Few companies can claim the rapid growth we have seen from being a start-up operation with a few lines to now having the capacity to produce over 200 million pouches/yr with room to grow. We appreciate our partners and investors who see the vision and direction of the company as we capitalize on favorable market trends in flexible packaging. We’re excited for the future.”
