PPC Flexible Packaging acquires Custom Poly Bag

Buffalo Grove, IL-based PPC Flexible Packaging LLC, a leading provider of custom flexible packaging, has acquired Alliance, OH-based Custom Poly Bag, Inc. Custom Poly is the sixth acquisition of specialty and differentiated flexible-packaging firms by PPC in the past three years. All businesses have been successfully integrated into the PPC Flexible Packaging enterprise and are executing aggressive growth synergies.

PPC is a leader in flexographic printing and converting of flexible films, bags and pouches. It is a recognized pioneer in cleanroom packaging for healthcare and medical applications, snack and organic brands, specialty produce, pet, nutraceutical, bakery and horticulture. The firm operates eight manufacturing facilities in Buffalo Grove, IL, Mission, KS, Rome, GA, Payson, UT, Pewaukee, WI, Colombia in South America, McKinney, TX, and Alliance, OH. Established in 1969 by Lloyd Carlile and Donald Prather, Custom Poly Bag has grown from one bag machine to a fully integrated AIB-certified, flexible-packaging converter serving bakery, protein, medical and specialty consumer markets nationwide.  Its capabilities include film extrusion, printing and bag  operations.
